Drive down from Port Orchard, Wa to Port Orford, Oregon - part 1 This was our first migration with the Toyota Highlander, so we weren't sure how things would go, but there were no issues towing the trailer. We started out at Port Orchard and drove down I-5 to Portland. We had hoped to be able to stop at our favorite restaurant in Portland, but decided that it was not worth the time that stop would entail. Instead we stopped at a hamburger stand, which probably took as long anyway. Ug. We continued down I-5 until we were about half way down Oregon, and took off west on a state road through the mountains that guard the coast. The trip was uneventful. We stopped at Reedsport at the sugar shack in Reedsport and bought every muffin they had in the case.
We arrived at the house in Port Orford at 6PM and after we knocked our eyes out
with the view in the back yard, we began unloading the trailer.
