Scenic drive to Cape Blanco st. Pk. - part 1 Cape Blanco state park is located at the mouth of the Sixes river a few miles north of Port Orford. Apparently, a european man came to homestead on that land, and enjoyed a nice life there. He willed the land to the State for a park. He had an interesting life, and sold some of his land to the State for a lighthouse, and had a dairy farming operation there.
There are tours of the old homestead, and of the lighthouse at the park
plus it's a beautiful section of the Oregon coastal land, which is a joy
to visit and see and experience.
