Tumalo falls hike, Bend, Oregon - part 3

Tumalo falls are beautiful, and the stream is beautiful and wild. Hiking up the Tumalo falls trail does not have a steep trail, and is not difficult. The trail is surrounded by pine and fir trees, and follows Tumalo stream.

When I hiked this trail it was a nice cool day, in the lower 60's with a nice breeze, about perfect for hiking. The number of fallen trees across the trail over the prior winter was an amazingly large quantity. Seems like in the few miles that I hiked that there was 50 or 60 trees. Each of the 4 or 5 falls along the trail are beautiful and unique and very special.

Pearl and I hiked up about a couple of hours, and were feeling hungry, so we stopped and had lunch. We sat there for ten or fifteen minutes to let our stomachs settle, and then we headed on up the trail another half hour or so.

We covered about 4 miles round trip total and except for maneuvering around the fallen trees, it was a very pleasant hike.

The falls are interesting visually and unique, and make the efforts to cover the distance on this hike definitely worth it, as you can see by the pictures.
